Why does my cat always try to steal my fruit? She can leave meat and dairy alone (unless they are left unattended, in which case they obviously belong to her), but she tries to grab any utensil that has fruit on it and pull it toward her mouth. She's worst about melon, but I am currently attempting to eat raspberry sorbet and she is attempting to steal it. I'd lock her up, except that this is our primary kitty, who has been my best friend for 14 years, empress of all she surveys, and so that's not going to happen.
