lliiraI've got a little cold, so I've got hot and sour soup. Unfortunately, the Chinese takeout near us has the wimpiest hot and sour soup ever. So I decided to rev it up a bit, with 1/8 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp white pepper, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes.
That was at least two times as much heat as was necessary or even tolerable for more than a few spoonfuls. But my sinuses are clear!
