My husband says that erections aren't completely involuntary but not completely controllable either, that they can be made to go away by thinking of non-sexy things. I think Anita being in this horrible pain is a non-sexy thing, and I don't know why Graham would have an erection here. Well, we know why; it turns LKH on to think that any guy who's naked near Anita must have an erection, no matter the circumstances, and it turns LKH on even more to think about how uncomfortable Anita would be with that.
Anita has to learn how happy she should be constantly. And rub into our faces how she's happy, really she's happy, not like those other icky women who have no attachment to men (as the only attachment possible is sexual and Anita is the only woman in the world who really truly enjoys sex), look at all these men Anita is attached to, she must be happy, SHE IS HAPPY DAMN IT NO OTHER WOMAN IS ONLY ANITA. Then we do it again in the next book. There's obvious misery driving it.
