Another first-draft thing LKH does is not think of plot until a certain way through, then she gets going and there are a zillion completely unrelated plots.
Tbh, I dislike the concept of the MOAD. For one thing, she's Akasha, but with a smaller vocabulary. For another, she seems to be based on "ooh she's a woman isn't femininity scary oooh." Then there's the dumb name.
