Fire Emblem

So I want the Fire Emblem game for the 3DS. I am waiting impatiently for the price to drop or for my birthday, whichever comes first. I've never played a Fire Emblem game before because I've either not had the system it's on or I've been too intimidated by the difficulty or there have been games I want more and I didn't have the time. But I thought, I have just about every Nintendo system now except the WiiU, I can try an old one while I'm waiting for the new one. But the old ones are all super expensive like an old Atlus game; apparently they didn't release a ton in the U.S. Whine.
