In Which I Am Confused

This is especially difficult for me to understand when said person does not have a Mitt Romney-esque level of privilege. How is it possible to be an otherwise sensible, intelligent person who ends up, for instance, throwing multiple fits on the internet about how Hogwarts is unsafe, unsafe I tell you! Or that God is really mean in parts of the Bible, and so therefore anyone who finds value in any part of the Bible is either lying or horrible or doesn't understand the Bible? Or that vampires are DANGEROUS so how dare anyone write about one having a romantic relationship with a human? Or that Spike and Buffy's relationship is unhealthy and therefore anyone who finds some sexiness in it is a rape apologist? 

Oh well, I guess if people didn't do this stuff, we wouldn't have fandom wank.
