Nov. 4th, 2013 11:50 pmI just logged in to a MMORPG with a new character, so I was in general chat for a few seconds. In it, people are griping about technology. While playing an online game with advanced graphics, in which we can play with people on the other side of the world. And, to make it extra-special, our characters are on the pro-technology side.
Defiant in Rift complaining about technology. Yeah, that makes sense. Okay, it's the ooc channel, but at the same time, if you're playing a MMORPG, you probably shouldn't have the opinion of "technology eek! Everyone should have to live life exactly the same way I did! Because when you had a problem as a kid, digging up quarters and going to the payphone and hoping your parent was available at the exact moment you called them because they couldn't call you back was AWESOME! " And seeing this on the Defiant side, aka the "advanced but forbidden technology is literally the only way to save the world" side, just makes it all the more special.
