Bella's family
Apr. 7th, 2012 11:15 pmDoes Twilight's Bella Swan have any family but her mother and father? She hasn't mentioned anyone yet -- no aunts or uncles, no cousins, and weirdest of all to me, no grandparents. Everyone I knew well as a teenager had grandparents who were incredibly important to their lives. But not Bella.
Weirder still, she doesn't remark on this. It would fit with her litany of "I'm different than everyone else because." Not having grandparents is pretty different. But no. So -- the nuclear family is everything? Though they don't seem too important in Bella's life either. Her scatterbrained mom and creeptastic dad are merely obstacles.
Friends aren't anything either. Other people try to be Bella's friends, but she despises them. She's interested in the Cullens, particularly Edward, but she doesn't care about them, at least not yet.
