That is true. I think it's tempered a bit by the fact that Mike's implying he would have sat back and let "Cullen" (as he calls Edward) handle everything. But it's definitely a rude thing to say. Except... Bella does sit back and let other people handle everything, as far as Mike's seen, so I have a hard time judging him for being wrong in the one case in which she hasn't done that.
