Can't sleep again

I've been having a really tough time sleeping since my operation. I was fine last night and the night before, so I thought that was over. But now I can't sleep again. Also, my back hurts like hell. I'm supposed to get the surgery again in three weeks, but if this keeps happening, I'm canceling it. I'm going to be keeping track on Dreamwidth.

I'm fine :). My doctor says it's a somewhat common side effect. I have been sleeping some, just at totally weird times. This morning I went back to bed at 7 and got up at 11:30.

This is actually a really safe operation. I looked up studies on it and no one at all had bad side effects in any of the studies, and they were all pretty big (like 800 people). The side effects like sleeplessness are supposed to pass off in a couple weeks. I just don't want to have so much sleeplessness all packed in such a relatively short period. But I'm going to give it another week and see.

My back hurting so much was from my medication wearing off, I think. I'm usually asleep at that time of day, so I don't notice the meds wearing off.
