She was also in an AP science class in Phoenix and she seems to be a good cook. But she refuses to let any of that count because then she wouldn't be Completely and Utterly Helpless and apparently only someone who is Completely and Utterly Helpless could ever need protection. Or something. Like so many other things in this story, I can't quite figure it out.
