A lot of people used to think LKH was not edited at all, and that she had a no-edit clause in her contract. Then she released "Shutdown", which definitely did not go through professional editors, and we realized that she is edited to some extent. I think what she turns in is so incredibly bad, getting it even into this shape is a massive undertaking. Plus she sends her manuscripts to the publisher very late.
